Paying for your care and support – What changes when you turn 18

When you tell us what support you need, we'll check the cost. We'll see if you need to pay some of it with your money or benefits.

We'll also determine what we can help fund from Adult Social Care. We'll ask for information about your income and expenses. This is called a Financial Assessment.

Based on this assessment, we'll determine whether you need to pay towards your care.

For more information, please read about Paying for Care or find out about the financial help available.

It's important to get accurate information about the benefits you may be entitled to when you turn 18.
