Who's involved when work starts

The following people are involved at this step:

  • adaptations team or home improvement agency
  • builders

Your adaptations team will:

  • work with the builders to arrange a start date
  • may visit your home to check how the work is going

The builders will:

  • let you know when they can start the work
  • speak with the adaptations team or home improvement agency if there are any issues that arise during the work
  • complete the work in line with the technical plans

You can:

  • suggest dates for the work to start
  • ask for changes during the work, but these must be agreed by the Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) team

The builder will be your contact for anything to do with their times of arrival, days of attendance, expected length of time the work will take.
