Guildford Pub Bombings Inquest

This inquest has now been concluded

Her Majesty's Senior Coroner for Surrey, Mr Richard Travers, has resumed the inquests into the deaths of the five young people who were killed in the Horse and Groom Pub in Guildford on 5 October 1974. The individuals who died were:

  • Mr Paul Craig
  • Guardsman William Forsyth
  • Private Ann Hamilton
  • Guardsman John Hunter
  • Private Caroline Slater

The Senior Coroner's decision to resume the inquests is contained in a Ruling on Resumption which was handed down on 31 January 2019, and which gives a provisional indication of the anticipated scope of the inquests.
