Scams on our mobile phones are prolific and it is all too easy to fall prey to them.
Many mobile phone frauds either persuade you to buy products/services that are substandard or non-existent, make phone calls or texts to premium services by accident or sign you up for expensive subscription services that may prove difficult to cancel.
Some may even pretend to be from your bank or the police.
Please also be aware of the text or WhatsApp scam messages that pretend to be from a loved one who has lost their phone and who then goes on to ask you for money.
We have provided some effective tools to remind you be wary of calls and messages from people you don't know and requests for money or your personal or bank details.
