Springtime is finally here, and it was a delight to spot a familiar face selling her pottery and clay work in the Tunsgate quarter of Guildford, the popular shopping, dining and socialising hub. A collection of exclusive handmade pieces of artwork were on sale to the public, and it was great to see our SAL pottery and claywork tutor Anamica Vince selling her work there.
Tunsgate quarter shoppers were thrilled to see local artists on show selling unique collectables and gifts in a beautiful setting. Visitors to Anamica's stall were lucky to meet the artist in person and discover the inspiration behind her collections of work greatly influenced over the years by collaborating with master craftsmen from around the world, and the use of varying techniques. SAL learners and staff were amongst the visitors browsing items at Amanica's stand which made it feel a natural place for our learning community to catch up and share ideas.
Amanica is one of our many outstanding tutors in our learning community at SAL who takes pride in her skill and encourages learners of all abilities. So, whether you are a beginner or already have some pottery experience you will learn the knowledge and skills needed to develop a range of techniques in the environment of the pottery studio.
With new beginnings at Springtime why not enrol on a tutor led course, or workshop coming up with Surrey Adult Learning, it's never a better time start something new with a team of experts!
