Celebrating 4 years of Your Fund Surrey funding

Community funding empowers communities in Surrey

Four years ago in November, we embarked on a mission to deliver ambitious, meaningful improvements in communities across Surrey. We invested in improvements that were rooted in community action - things that local people wanted and needed, things that would deliver benefits to the whole community, and that would leave a legacy in Surrey's towns and villages.

Your Fund Surrey has delivered. We've given local communities over £20m across 45 different projects. All have a demonstrable and long-term impact on people's health and wellbeing, and quality of life.

Through Your Fund Surrey, we asked communities to think big, join up and join in. We promised that working together we would Make it Happen. And Make it Happen we have! We have helped fund:

  • Swimming pools
  • Tree planting
  • Community cafes, shops and gardens
  • Football, cricket, rugby, gymnastics, and other sports facilities
  • New village halls
  • Inclusive playgrounds
  • Scout huts
  • Wildlife centres
  • Creative arts facilities

As these projects start to open their doors, we will be taking a look at how they've started to make a real difference to people's lives.

Take a look at the photo montages below to see some of the projects which have made a difference to people's lives in Surrey.
