Our Voice Matters Survey

Help shape what's next

The Our Voice Matters Survey is an exciting opportunity for all young people aged 7 to 25 in Surrey. A chance to share their thoughts on a range of important topics. Co-designed by a steering group of young people, this survey covers key areas that matter most to them. We need your help to encourage participation.

This year, the survey focuses on the following areas:

  • Community
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Transport
  • Health

These topics have been chosen based on insights from young people themselves. They include feedback from steering groups, participation groups, and the 2024 Make Your Mark Campaign results. We know these issues are important to children and young people across Surrey, and we want to hear their voices.

The purpose of the survey is to understand how young people experience these areas and identify where improvements could be made. The feedback will be shared with decision-makers in Surrey to help create positive changes that benefit young people.

The benefits of your child's participation

It's their future, help them shape what's next! The survey is a chance for young people to have their voices heard on the issues that directly affect their lives. By participating, they'll help shape decisions that impact their future.

Incentive

To thank young people for their time, those who complete the survey will be entered into a prize draw. This gives them a chance to win an annual pass to one of the amazing theme parks in and around Surrey!

How you can help

As a parent or carer, you can play an important role in encouraging your child to take part in the survey. Here's how you can get involved:

  • Encourage participation: talk to your child about the survey and encourage them to share their views
  • Highlight the prize draw: let your child know they could win an annual pass to one of Surrey's theme parks

Before they start the survey

Make sure your child knows the following before they begin:

  • They must be aged 7 to 25 years old and live in Surrey
  • If they are a young person in care or a care leaver aged 7 to 25 and live outside Surrey, they can still participate
  • If they wish to enter the prize draw, they need to read the prize draw terms and conditions
  • To be entered into the prize draw, they must provide their contact details at the end of the survey
