A creative haven for young minds
Do you know any young people who are passionate about the arts or dreaming of a creative career? Mark your calendars on 1 and 2 November for the Surrey Youth Arts and Culture Festival 2024. This event is set to ignite the imaginations of young people aged 11 to 18 from across Surrey!
This vibrant festival offers a plethora of free, hands-on opportunities to dive into the arts and explore various creative industries. With the support of 26 creative and cultural organisations, the festival promises an array of exciting workshops and activities.
Festival highlights
National Film and Television School (NFTS)
Discover the magic behind the camera in the film, TV, and games industry.
Creative Writing Workshop
Join author Tim Tilley to learn how to create your own hero.
DJing with Surrey Arts
Master the art of beat matching and mashing up your favourite chart hits.
Immersive Technologies
Explore augmented reality and artificial intelligence with the StoryFutures team from Royal Holloway University London.
Musical Theatre
Experience the thrill of the stage with the award-winning Secret Stage School from Camberley.
And that's just the beginning! The festival features a mix of bookable and drop-in workshops running throughout the day. Be sure to secure your spots early!
Additionally, young musicians and artists will have the chance to shine during the festival's Open Mic slots, showcasing up to 10 minutes of their own material.

Creative Writing
Join Marisa Noelle, author of The Unadjusteds Trilogy, for a workshop on developing characters that leap off the page on 9 October from 4:30-5:30 pm at Camberley Library
Theatre Production Workshop
Take a deep dive into the world of theatre production, including lighting, sound, stage production, and set design at Camberly Theatre on 12 October from 10am to 1pm.
