Make your home more energy efficient and save on bills
If you're looking to make your home more energy efficient, you could be eligible to receive a free grant through the Home Upgrade Grant which closes soon.
What can I use the fund for?
The Home Upgrade Grant (HUG2) can fund free insulation such as cavity walls, loft or external walls. Renewable heating sources such as heat pumps, including new electric storage heaters (for flats only) are available. It also offers solar panels so you can profit while keeping your energy bills low.
Who is eligible?
The eligibility criteria is as follows:
- The property must not be heated by mains gas
- The property must have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of D, E, F or G
- You must be in receipt of means-tested benefits or have an annual gross household income below £36,000. If your incomes exceeds £36,000 annually, you might still be eligible.
