Complete a short survey for a chance to win a voucher
Are you a relative or friend of someone in a care home? Are they funding their own care, either in full or partially?
If so, you could help improve the information available to people who are considering long-term care arrangements for themselves or their loved ones.
Healthwatch Surrey is working with us to understand more about the experiences of Surrey residents who live in a care home and are funding their own care, or whose families provide a top-up to cover the costs of the home.
The organisation has developed a short survey to find out more about:
- how self-funder care home residents came to live in a residential or nursing care home
- what other options were considered
- where they went for information and advice
Please complete the survey as the relative or friend of a current care home resident, or the resident themselves could fill it in if they wish. Your responses will help us, and other organisations involved in a person's care, make sure that people get the information they need, at the right time and in the right place, to make decisions about long-term care and support.
To fill in the survey, please visit the survey website. The survey is also available via the Healthwatch Surrey website.
The closing date for the survey is Friday 7 February. Five people who complete the survey before 7 February will be selected at random to receive a £10 voucher. Those selected will be notified within one month of the close of the survey.
