M25 and A3 closures in 2025

Find out more about National Highways closures

National Highways is planning a series of road closures in the first part of 2025 linked to their works at the J10 Wisley Interchange.

A full weekend closure of the A3 will be first. This will be in both directions between the junction 10 interchange and the B2215/A247 near Send and Burntcommon, from 9pm on Friday 17 January to 6am on Monday 20 January. The closure is to install Cockcrow Bridge which will be the UK's first heathland bridge. This means the work is more weather dependent. There's a risk that the works could be called off at short notice if there are strong winds forecast for the weekend. Please check the National Highways website for the most up to date information.

A series of further A3, M25 and gyratory closures are planned until the summer. There will be a number of full weekend closures, as well as ongoing overnight closures.

National Highways will be releasing more detailed information, including dates and diversion routes ahead of each closure. Drivers are advised to keep checking the National Highways website, Facebook and X account for the latest dates when making plans and before travelling.

New Wisley Lane bridge

National Highways opened the new Wisley Lane bridge at the start of November 2024. The new one-mile stretch aims to help improve access and journeys along Wisley Lane, to Wisley Village and onwards to Woking. This stretch of road also provides access to the RHS Wisley Gardens.

Drivers visiting the gardens must now use the new Wisley Lane turning on the left between the A3 southbound off slip road and Ockham Lane North (B2039) then onto and across the new Wisley Bridge, following the brown signs.

About the Wisley Interchange works

National Highways is making significant safety improvements at Junction 10 of the M25. The improvements aim to reduce congestion, create a smoother flow of traffic and provide safer journeys for thousands every day.
