Your feedback matters

How your views are shaping our Surrey Matters e-newsletter

Thank you to those who responded to our Surrey Matters newsletter survey at the end of 2024.

In this survey, respondents reported a desire to see the outcomes of consultations, as well as information about how the results will shape services moving forwards.

With this in mind, we want to share your feedback from the Surrey Matters survey, and the improvements we plan to make to the newsletter, based on your views.

  • Roads and transport

What you want to see more of

More local information

You want to know more about the areas you live, work, and visit. While Surrey Matters is a county-wide newsletter, we also want to celebrate the unique people and places that make Surrey special. As of February, Hidden Surrey will again focus on physical locations, spotlighting great things to see, do and learn. We will also continue to work on new ways to integrate local information, services, and events.

Good news stories from the community

You want to hear about the successes of Surrey residents and groups, and so do we! If you have a good news story from the community that you would like to share, please email surreymatters@surreycc.gov.uk and we will look to feature some of these in our newsletter.

Current issues in the Surrey context

There has never been a better time to start talking politics, with local government reorganisation, devolution and 2025/26 budgets all making waves in local news. In future editions you can expect to see content on current issues and what they mean for Surrey residents.

New buildings

You want to know more about the building projects that are planned, in progress and completed across the county. Moving forwards, we will be talking more about our capital programme, so keep an eye out for updates.

There's a newsletter for that!

Respondents reported wanting to see more information on specific topics such as roads and local history. The good news is that our wider newsletter range already has you covered!
