Surrey County Council have long been recognised as a council that exceeds expectations. We are focussed, ambitious and determined to achieve our goal of becoming a sector-leading council, relentlessly pushing for improvement, and always going above and beyond to enhance the lives of our residents. In Surrey we don't make promises that we can't keep. We are committed to ensuring "no one will be left behind" and as we embark on a new era for the council, we are looking for two new Executive Directors to lead our dedicated and passionate teams to make sure we deliver on that promise.
Surrey have made significant improvements, which has enabled us to focus on delivering set council priorities for residents and communities. That being said, Surrey does have to maintain focused attention on financial management to protect service delivery, whilst continuously improving services and getting it right first time, every time – a pledge we call "The Surrey Way". This is where both our new Executive Director (S151) of Finances and Corporate Services and Executive Director of Customer, Digital and Change come in.
Both roles operate at a significant scale and will be responsible for providing strategic direction and inspirational leadership to shape the council's strategic agenda. These roles demand ambition, determination to drive change, innovation and a clear vision on how to deliver services that meet the evolving needs of Surrey residents.
