The reasons why we use your personal data
This privacy notice applies to the functions of the Registration and Nationality Service and explains how the information we collect about you is used and your rights in relation to that information.
What processing of personal data is undertaken by the service?
Your personal data is being processed to suggest services and content which may be of interest to you keeping you updated. This includes working with other council services and with partners by promoting competitions and awarding of prizes.
What Information do we collect?
The name and email address from each entrant will be collected.
Each entrant will be given a scratch card which will detail either a 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% or 100% discount on a ceremony of their choice. The ceremony must take place at either the Leatherhead, Weybridge or Guildford Register Office.
To make use of their discount, entrants should email the council's ceremonies team quoting the code on their scratch card.
How we are allowed to use your personal data
Consent
To process your personal data, we will explain to you what we are asking you to agree to and why. If we have consent to use your personal data, you have the right to remove it at any time. If you want to remove your consent, please contact us at the following email address registration.ceremonies@surreycc.gov.uk and we will deal with your request.
Who we share your personal data with
We do not share your data with any external parties.
Retention of data
For a period of one year for all entrants.
