Volunteer at Tice's Meadow

Come and join our rangers and volunteer at Tice's Meadow near Farnham. Tasks might include; clearing vegetation, maintaining paths, fence and gate repairs, habitat management, wildlife surveys and more.

We have volunteer sessions running on the following dates:

  • Date: Friday 14 and 21 February.
  • Place: Tice's Meadow. Please meet at Horton's Mound which is shown on our interpretation boards around the site.
  • Time: 10.00am to 2.00pm.

Tree planting in Tanyard Meadows, Horley

The Tree Planting Team at Surrey County Council are seeking volunteers to help with one of their last events of the season at Tanyard Meadows in Horley. No experience needed, just wrap up warm, bring a spade and join in!

  • Date: Tuesday 11 February
  • Place: Tanyard Meadows, Horley, RH6 9SU
  • Time: 10am to 2pm

Countryside visitor survey engagement event

We are always looking to listen and learn from our visitors about how they enjoy Surrey's countryside spaces, including what they value most about their visits and how we can improve their overall experience. Our countryside visitor survey is running until 30 May and we will be holding in-person engagement events at various locations where you will have the opportunity to meet with staff from the Visitor Services Team and find out more about the survey.

  • Date: Tuesday 18 February
  • Place: St Marks and All Saints Primary School, Franklyn Road, Godalming GU7 2LD.
  • Time: 11am to 2pm.

  • Time: 9.30am to 11.30am.

Tree planting in West Park Farm, Newchapel, between Lingfield & Horley

The Tree Planting Team at Surrey County Council are seeking volunteers to help with planting over three days in West Park Farm, Newchapel. No experience needed, just wrap up warm, bring a spade and join in!

  • Date: Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27 February
  • Place: West Park Farm, Newchapel, between Lingfield & Horley
  • Time: 10.00am to 1.00pm and 1.00pm to 3.30pm sessions
