Volunteer at Tice's Meadow

Come and join our rangers and volunteer at Tice's Meadow near Farnham. Tasks might include; clearing vegetation, maintaining paths, fence and gate repairs, habitat management, wildlife surveys and more.

We have volunteer sessions running on the following dates:

  • Date: Friday 14, 21 and 28 March.
  • Place: Tice's Meadow. Please meet at Horton's Mound which is shown on our interpretation boards around the site.
  • Time: 10.00am to 2.00pm.

Countryside visitor survey engagement event

We are always looking to listen and learn from our visitors about how they enjoy Surrey's countryside spaces, including what they value most about their visits and how we can improve their overall experience. Our countryside visitor survey is running until 30 May and we will be holding in-person engagement events at various locations where you will have the opportunity to meet with staff from the Visitor Services Team and find out more about the survey.

  • Date: Saturday 15 March
  • Place: Rodborough Common, Milford, Surrey GU8 5RY
  • Time: 10am to 12pm

Spring wildflower workshop at Sheepleas

Join wildlife guide Susy Dixon-Jones for an early Spring wildflower foray at the beautiful and biodiverse Sheepleas Nature Reserve.

Come and seek out a huge array of wild plants, learning their key identifcation features and about the life they support. Along the way we will look out for other wildlife, and learn about the various tree species in the woods. Ideal for anyone who wants to learn more about wild plants and the local area with a knowledgeable guide.

  • Date: Saturday 22 and 29 March
  • Place: Sheepleas, Green Dene car park, East Horsley, Leatherhead KT24 5TA.
  • Time: 10am to 12pm
  • Cost: £15.87

Immerse yourself in the songs and calls of the birds around you, learning how to identify the many species found at Sheepleas. Susy will guide you through all the sounds you hear, bringing a new dimension to your walks in the woods, unlocking a whole new world of nature knowledge.
