Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2024
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 18 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made on the grounds of public safety due to a washed out bridge. The Order came into operation on 26 January 2024. It was due to expire on 26 July 2024 but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 26 July 2025 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of Public Footpath No.18 (Farnham) from Grid reference:481709 145210 at its junction with the A31 Alton Road, opposite Public Footpath No.11 (Farnham) in a generally southerly direction for approximately 100 metres, to the east of Willey Mill House at Grid reference:481694 145118 marked by a solid bold line on plan no. 3/1/18/H101.
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no alternative route.
