Definitive Map Modification Order 2022

The above Order, made on 30 June 2022, if confirmed, as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a public footpath from point 'A', on the north-west side of the railway, 92 metres south-east of Links Road [Grid Ref. 517407 158580] running in a south-easterly direction for 17 metres to point 'B' at the north-western end of Green Lane, Ashtead to the Definitive Statement, as shown on the drawing 3/1/51/H116 and described in the modified statement for 24 (Leatherhead). The Definitive Map does not require modification.

The total distance is 17 metres with a width varying between 'A' and 'B' of 0.8 – 2.7 metres.

A copy of the Order and Order map may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Tel 0300 2001003); Mole Valley District Council, Pippbrook, Reigate Road, Dorking RH4 1SJ and Ashtead Library, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead KT21 2BQ during opening hours. Copies of the Order and map may be bought from the County Council for £4.

Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Countryside Access team (quoting reference DW/24 Leatherhead), at Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ not later than 5 September 2022. Applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the Order (or that part of the Order). If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in whole or in part, any representations and objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
