Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham)

Notice

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)
The Surrey County Council
Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham)
Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2024.

On 20 June 2024 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham) from point A (Grid reference: 485432 143822) to point B (Grid ref: 485962 144224) shown as a black line on plan ref:3/1/18/H103.

The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety due to vehicle, filming equipment and heavy plant movements on the bridleway in relation to filming. The closure will be in operation for a period of 21 days from 27 June 2024 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

The alternative route for traffic will be to use Public Bridleway 532 (Tilford) and Public Bridleway 583 (Tilford) that run parallel to Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham).

The alternative route for traffic from point B is the reverse of the route described above.

"The Public Bridleway 178 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order" will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Dated: 13 June 2024.
Katie Stewart, Executive Director of Environment, Infrastructure and Growth
