Notice

The Surrey County Council
Public Footpath 102 (Woking)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023

The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 102 (Woking) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023 was made on the grounds of public safety due to structural damage to the footbridge crossing the railway. The Order came into operation on 13 December 2023. It was due to expire on 13 June 2024 but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 13 June 2025 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.

The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding in that length of Public Footpath 102 (Woking), from its junction with Footpath 103 (Woking) (Grid reference 498090 157357) south across the footbridge for 50 metres, to its junction with Footpaths 27 and 412 (Woking), as indicated by a solid black line on plan no. 3/1/79/H72.

The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no suggested alternate route.
