Public Footpath 362c (Horley)

Notice

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) and 14(2)
The Surrey County Council
Footpath 362c (Horley)
Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2024

On 21 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 362c (Horley) from its access point from Bullfinch Close at point A (Grid reference: 527096 143783), in a generally easterly, then northerly direction, for approximately 330 metres to point B (Grid reference: 526818 143781).

The closure is marked by a solid bold line on plan number 3/1/45/H40 (a link to the plan is at the bottom of this page).

The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to flooding on the footpath and remedial works to be carried out by Thames Water.

The closure will be in operation from 22 March 2024 until 25 May 2024, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

There is no suggested alternative route.

'The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 362c (Horley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024' was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) and 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Dated: 28 March 2024
Katie Stewart, Director of Environment, Infrastructure and Growth.
