Public Path Diversion Order 2024

The above order, made on 22 February 2024 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will, if confirmed, divert Footpath 91 (Thursley) running from Grid Ref. 489704 138880 in a south south easterly turning to easterly direction for 64 metres to OS Grid Ref.489750 138844 to a line running from the same point in a south easterly direction for 57 metres to OS Grid Ref.489750 138844 and from Grid Ref 489753 138815 in a southerly direction 28 metres Grid Ref. 489758 138789 to a line running from the same point in a south south easterly direction for 30 metres to Grid Ref. 489767 138786.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge by appointment (Tel. 0300 200 1003) at Surrey County Council Offices, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford (between 10.00am and 4.00pm from Monday to Friday) and at Waverley Borough Council Offices, The Burys, Godalming, GU7 1HR during normal office hours and at Godalming Library, Bridge Street, Godalming, GU7 1HR during opening hours.

A copy of this notice may be viewed on the Council's website (www.surreycc.gov.uk) under Footpaths, Byways and Bridleways. A copy of the Order and map may be purchased from the County Council at a cost of £4.00.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Countryside Access quoting reference DW/AW/3/1/14 at Surrey County Council, Whitebeam Lodge, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ or by email to rightsofway@surreycc.gov.uk by 2 April 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made, are withdrawn, Surrey County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations, which have not been withdrawn, will be sent with the Order.
