Farmland and woodland in Carshalton/Woodmansterne, passing by Old Lodge Farm (private 90 acre farm owned by Surrey County Council and the base for the Downlands Partnership grazing service), Little Woodcote Estate, smallholdings and Mayfield Lavender; the lavender field is a stunning shade of purple during summer months.

These two leaflets were produced by Warlingham Parish Council with the support of several local people, the Downlands Partnership and grant funding from the Big Lottery Fund.

The latest updated version of this walk leaflet was produced by Downlands Partnership in partnership with Surrey Hills AONB in 2016.

Access to Reigate and Colley Hills was improved in 2012 for people with disabilities, elderly people and parents with pushchairs. The new path at Margery Wood was surfaced by the Downlands Partnership through Heritage Lottery funding (Old Surrey Downs Project) to provide a hard surface, allowing everyone to access the chalk grassland at Colley Hill and to see amazing views across the Weald to the South Downs.
