Having the right skills and qualifications is more important than ever in today's competitive job market. Surrey Adult Learning have a range of free 'Refresh' courses to increase your confidence and build your skills to help you get the job you want.

Digital knowledge and skills are also such a large part of our lives these days that having skills in how to use and get the best from digital devices is a real benefit, whatever your age or your reason for using technology.

Our free business, employability and digital skills courses will help you whether you are looking to upskill for work or simply to be able to communicate and engage more effectively online.


Multiply

Free courses for adults to boost your number confidence. Multiply offers free and flexible courses across Surrey, to improve your number confidence. So, whether you want help managing your household budgets, need maths to progress your career or simply want to help your children with homework there is a Multiply course for you. Apprenticeships

You don't have to be a school leaver or a young person to start an apprenticeship.

We are proud to be a great place to work for all generations whether you're starting your career or fancying a change! Whether you are just leaving education, changing careers or returning to work, if what you're looking for is a long and lasting career, then this is your chance to receive excellent training and personal development.

Our apprenticeship scheme provides a perfect way to earn a wage while you gain vital work experience and a nationally recognised qualification. When you have completed we can offer support to seek future employment.


Work Wise

Work Wise is a free employment service available to any person with a mental or physical health condition, disability, or neurodivergence, who wants to work.

Work Wise supports people to find, maintain and sustain meaningful, long-term paid employment or to support people already in-work to continue their employment. Find more information visit the Work Wise website.


Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for Surrey residents aged 19+. You can sign up to gain new skills and fast-track your future. More information can be found on the Skills Bootcamps web pages.

Free access to computers in Surrey libraries

All Surrey libraries have computers available to use. All library members are entitled to use the services, subject to their availability.

All Surrey libraries also have Wi-Fi access which is free to members and non-members 24 hours a day 7 days a week, subject to availability. Where possible, Libraries will provide electrical sockets for laptop users alongside workspaces.
