About the Organisation
South West Surrey Domestic Abuse Service (SWSDA) supports anyone affected by domestic abuse living in the boroughs of Guildford and Waverley.

We provide free, confidential and independent advice, skilled practical help and ongoing emotional support and information. Since 2004, we have helped thousands of survivors living in our local communities to feel empowered and informed to live a life free from domestic abuse harm.

Each year we help around 1000 women and children living in Guildford or Waverley boroughs, whose lives are being affected by domestic abuse.

Our services include one to one support, peer and group work, specialist help for children and young people and specific advice for the LGBTQ+ population.

About the Role
Roles are open to female applicants only (the candidate's gender is considered to be an occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010) with the exception of the role with LGBTQ+ lead.

All roles include some time supporting adult survivors of domestic abuse. However, they also differ and include roles with more focus in the following areas:
  • Advocacy for our LGBTQ+ service
  • Advocacy for our Disability service
  • Adult Outreach

Although office based, own transport is desirable as travel across Guildford, Waverley and other parts of Surrey will be involved. We are based on the outskirts of Guildford.
