This role has a starting salary of £40,269 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity.

We're excited to be hiring a dynamic individual to join our established team as a Local Offer Development Officer where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping online resources and connecting our community with information, services and support. 

Our team is based in Woking on a hybrid basis with a blend of office and home working.

About the Role 

As the Local Offer Development Officer, you'll create content for our website and other online platforms, making sure it meets legal requirements and meets the needs of our users. You'll also work closely with families, schools and other partners to ensure they can easily find the information and support they need on our website. This will include: 

  • Supporting the Service Manager of the Local Offer to implement, manage and ensure delivery of the Local Offer content as stated in the statutory duties for the local authority
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to create, co-produce and update content
  • Ensuring content is compliant, accurate and accessible through regular reviews and audits
  • Promoting the Local Offer and other digital channels in the local community to raise awareness of the support and services that are available for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in the local area
  • Creating schedules for content production and updates to ensure that information is up to date

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position your CV and answers to the questions below will clearly evidence:

  • Familiarity with additional needs and disabilities, education and inclusion law and governance, including up-to-date knowledge of legislation, best practices and local services
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with professionals, user groups, parents/carers and young people to co-produce content
  • Ability to create and implement content schedules, prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date content and identifying improvements
  • Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering web content, ensuring legal compliance and maintaining accuracy
