This role has a starting salary of £35,730 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity.

We are excited to be hiring a Finance Advisor to join our new Locality Finance Support Team which is part of a larger Area Finance Teams within Surrey County Council (SCC). The team will be based at Woodhatch Place and will work in a hybrid model, working either from a SCC base or from home.

About the Team

The Locality Finance Support Team (LFST) will sit within Adults, Wellbeing and Health Partnerships Directorate and will contribute to supporting the Area Finance Teams, internal colleagues as well as external stakeholders.
About the Role

As part of the Locality Finance Support Team, you will be involved in a range of tasks that will include:
  • Adding and Maintaining new contracts within the Adults ContrOCC System.
  • Contributing to the upgrade of ContrOCC in the later part of the year
  • Supporting colleagues with requests, amendments, and additions to the ContrOCC system via the email inboxes for Locality Finance & Provider Portal
  • Contribute to the development of a range of Training and Support materials for Area Finance Teams for the upgraded ContrOCC system
  • Carry out a range of ContrOCC system duties that relate to county-wide tasks.
  • Be part of several special projects related to ContrOCC to deliver an improved service for Area Finance Teams
  • Learning and using more specialist functionality in relation to the ContrOCC system
  • Preparing and implementing the upgrading of the Provider Portal and supporting our Providers to transition to the new system (Training & Support)

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:
  • Knowledge and use of ContrOCC and LAS/LCS (or similar systems)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Working as part of a team deliver defined outputs in a timely manner to a high standard of quality
  • Experience and use of a range of IT systems particularly MS Excel
  • Experience of working with Unit 4 (MySurrey) would be an advantage
