Description

The starting salary for this position is £16.39 per hour (£14.26 per hour, plus £2.13 per hour annual leave allowance).

We are currently seeking Cycling Instructors to join our Cycle Training Team. If you can ride a cycle competently and would like to help both children and adults, please apply!

Surrey County Council is an accredited Bikeability scheme and works to the National Standard for cycle training. We train around 11,000 people each year.

Shortlisting
To be considered for interview for this position, you will upload your CV and answer the following five application questions:
  1. Why would you like to be a cycling instructor? 
  2. How would the role fit into your commitments and plans, and which of the two contract types do you think might better suit you?
  3. What do you think are the qualities an Instructor needs to help a person progress, and how does your experience relate to those qualities? Your experiences can be in employment or a voluntary setting and related to cycle training or some other form of learning.
  4. Part of the national standard for cycle training is to "review and improve" your own cycling. Please tell us your assessment of your own cycling ability.
  5. We manage the cycle training through an online system. Please tell us about your IT skills.
