Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is seeking exceptional candidates to join our Group Commander (GC) Promotional Pool. Successful applicants will be considered for multiple GC roles that will be pivotal to delivering our mission during 2025/26.
As a Group Commander, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of SFRS. You will drive service-wide improvements, champion our ongoing cultural transformation, and lead the delivery of our ambitious 2025-2030 Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP).

Eligibility and Selection Process

- Application: Submission of a CV and a 1,000-word statement addressing the essential and desirable criteria.
- Stakeholder/Community Panel: Presentation to a panel to assess stakeholder engagement.
- Operational Assessment: Including tactical command group and media components.
- Final Panel Interview: Successful candidates will then be invited to join the GC pool. Immediate vacancies are available for those with the appropriate skills.
