We are excited to be hiring a new Supply Manager to join our fantastic team within the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. This role is based at Reigate Fire Station, Wray Park, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 0EJ.

About the Team
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. Our central stores department plays a crucial role in supporting all SFRS fire station locations and departments by providing essential operational equipment, workwear, uniforms, community safety equipment, and more.
Our central stores team is a vital part of the logistics function within SFRS. The team is responsible for maintaining optimum stock levels, ensuring the accuracy and security of all commodities, and providing excellent customer service to SFRS personnel, other fire services, SCC departments, and suppliers. About The Role
Are you looking for a new opportunity to develop your career in logistics and supply management within a dynamic and essential service? Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to lead our central stores team.
As the Supply Manager, you will plan, lead, and manage the day-to-day operations of the central stores. Your main objectives will include ensuring a cost-effective and efficient supplies/stores service, maintaining the continuation of supplies to all SFRS locations, and supervising the supply officer and driver. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing improvements in delivery services and maintaining a healthy, safe, and productive working environment.
Shortlisting Criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:
- Experience of working in a stores/warehouse/logistics/distribution environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to build sound relationships with customers and service users
- Previous experience of working in a large, multi-site organisation
- Current full clean UK driving license (category C1), with no previous driving disqualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work co-operatively and flexibly as a member of a team, and to liaise effectively with staff at all levels
- A "can do" attitude and the ability to resolve issues independently when appropriate
- Experience liaising with internal and external clients to resolve issues satisfactorily
Surrey has both urban and rural areas therefore candidates will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
