The starting salary for this role is £35,730 per annum based on a 36-hour working week. This is a full-time position for secondment until 1st November 2025.

We are excited to be hiring a new Senior Administration Advisor to join our Specialist Mental Health services which are based across the county (prison social care, forensic social care, move to independence, substance misuse social care, supporting independence and enabling independence team). The location will be across Woking and Brickfield Centre in Epsom. We also offer agile working and are happy to discuss what it means for this team.

About the Team

This role is to support specialist county wide mental health services. These are in general high risk client facing services including forensic, substance misuse, prison and a range of enablement mental health services.

The team works closely with people who use services, carers, family members and partner organisations to enable residents to live their best possible lives and focus on recovery.

These teams are made up of social care staff, enablement workers and occupational therapy staff. We are committed to learning and development, at both an individual and team level - this is a priority for us. About the Role

The role of Senior Administration Advisor is a varied and rewarding one. You will work closely with the Team Managers across the services to manage, support and develop the Administration Assistants within the team who provide support to social care professionals.

In this role you will:

  • Lead, manage, support and develop the Administration Assistants within the team who provide support to Social Care professionals, having responsibility for all administrative tasks within the team
  • Coordinate safeguarding meetings and deadlines and other meetings with external partners when required
  • Support and maintain ASC complaints process and support enquiries from residents
  • Work closely and provide support to Senior Managers and range of Team Managers
  • Promote an excellent level of customer service within the team both to internal and external customers
  • Work with other Adult Social Care Senior Administration Advisors to develop and maintain administrative and business processes across the Service

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Excellent organisational, administrative and motivational skills together with your ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Experience of note taking at complex meetings
  • Line management/supervision experience
  • Knowledge of Adult Social Care
  • Good understanding of mental health services
  • Extensive experience of working in a customer service environment
  • IT skills including Word, Excel and data management systems

Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area. Reasonable adjustments where needed will be made for successful applicants who have a disability or long term health condition to enable them to fulfil the requirements of the job.
