South East England Aggregate Working Party (SEEAWP)

Aggregate working parties involve Mineral Planning Authorities and mineral operators cooperating to provide technical advice about the local, regional, and national supply of and demand for aggregates (including sand, gravel and crushed rock) to the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

As the Minerals and Waste Planning Authority (MWPA), we are a member of the South East England Aggregates Working Party (SEEAWP). Participating in SEEAWP helps the MWPA meet its Duty to Cooperate obligations to ensure a steady and adequate supply of aggregate minerals in Surrey, the region, and in England. The minutes of SEEAWP meetings are available on request – please contact the Minerals and Waste Policy Team at mdf@surreycc.gov.uk.

SEEAWP publishes annual South East Aggregates Monitoring Reports
