Summer Reading Challenge launch event with author Tom Easton
Saturday 6 July, from 2.15pm to 3.15pm. Please arrive 15 minutes early.
Tom will be talking about writing books and working in publishing. He will be focussing mostly on his funny books for middle-grade readers, "Hotel of the Gods", "Our House" and "Max Magic", the best-selling series he co-wrote with Stephen Mulhern.
Event is suitable for children aged 7 to 11 years old.
Booking necessary. Tickets cost £4. Please purchase a ticket for each child attending.

Festival of Archaeology event with Ash Musuem
Saturday 27 July, from 10am to 1pm.
Come and join us to explore artefacts from Ash Museum and have a go at some archaeology inspired activities. There will also be an archaeology themed Story Time at 10.30am.
All ages welcome.
Free drop-in event.

Other events
Obie interactive projector
Obie is an interactive projector that brings active play to floors, tables, and walls. The projector has pre-installed games which are specifically designed to be engaging for children. The Ash Library projector is installed on the floor, so it encourages children to move whilst having fun. There are games that encourage collaborations, others such as puzzle and memory games are designed to engage the brain, whilst the action games help to get children moving more.
Obie is available during library opening times except during Storytime and Rhymetime (Tuesday and Thursday, 10.30 to 11am) and is free.
Digital Buddy
Available every Thursday from 10am until 12 noon.
