Digital support sessions
Fridays from 10.30am to 12.30pm on the following dates: 22 November.
Sessions are 30 minutes per person and should be booked in advance.
Please book in Ashford Library or email ashford.library@surreycc.gov.uk.
Books in prison, and the issues prisoners face reading
Wednesday 27 November at 2pm.
Speakers:
- Simeon Sturney, author of 'You, Me and the Butterfly', a popular fictional story read widely by female prisoners; and author of two other books: 'Gate Happy' and 'One Mile to Make a Difference'. Simeon is also a prison chaplain at His Majesty's Prison (HMP) Bronzefield.
- Rhiannon Stygal, Prison Librarian HMP Bronzefield.
Simeon will discuss his new book 'You, Me and the Butterfly', why and how it was written and published. This will lead into an interview with Rhiannon and will flow into a question time.
Tickets are free but places will be limited. Places can be reserved at the helpdesk at Ashford Library or via email to ashford.library@surreycc.gov.uk.

Drop-in councillor surgeries
- Surrey County Councillor Denise Turner-Stewart (Staines South and Ashford West), Councillor Sinead Mooney (Staines) and Spelthorne Borough councillors Paul Woodward (Ashford Town) and Olivia Rybinski (Ashford Town) will be holding surgeries at Ashford Library on:
- the first Saturday of each month, from 11am until 12 noon.
- Surrey County Councillor Harry Boparai (Sunbury Common & Ashford Common)
- the first Saturday of each month, from 3pm until 4pm.
- Spelthorne Borough councillors Joanne Sexton (Ashford East), Michelle Arnold (Ashford Town), and Katherine Rutherford (Ashford Common) will be holding surgeries from 11am to 12.30pm on the on the following Saturdays:

- 24 May 2025

Make an appointment to see one of our Digital Buddies:
- Every Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm.
- Every Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm.
- Every Saturday from 10am to 12 noon.
