Special events
Summer Reading Challenge events
- Friday 26 July at 2pm: 'Handa's Surprise Craft'. We will be making a card for a friend using fruit printing. Please note that real fruit will be used for this event. £2 per child.
- Friday 2 August at 2pm: Dinosaur Land Junk Modelling. Using junk modelling, we'll be making a Dinosaur Land in a box. £2 per child.
- Friday 9 August at 2pm: Triangle craft, based on the book 'Triangle', we will be painting our own shape land. £2 per child.
- Friday 16 August at 2pm: Underwater junk modelling. Using junk modelling, we'll be making an Underwater land in a box. This event will also include a sensory tray. £2 per child.
- Friday 23 August at 2pm: 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' re-enactment! We will be re-enacting We're Going on a Bear Hunt through music and movement. This event will also include a sensory tray. £3 per child.
- Saturday 24 August at 2pm: Creative Writing workshop. We will be creating our own story using Powerpoint. £2 per child.
All of these events will require booking by emailing cobham.library@surreycc.gov.uk.
Rhymetime and storytime
Pebble rhymetime
- Every Wednesday from 10.30am to 11am.
- Every Friday from 10.30am to 11am.

Reading groups
Baby and toddler book club
Every two weeks on a Tuesday at 10.30am. Upcoming dates: 16 July. This will be the last session for the baby and toddler club.
A chance to meet other parents and discover new books with your youngsters. Each session will include puppets and toys.
This is a free session.

Other events
Code club
Last Saturday of every month, from 2pm to 3pm
Suitable for ages 8+, although children 5 to 7 can attend if they are accompanied by an adult.
Spaces are limited to 6 children so booking necessary. Please book at the library or email cobham.library@surreycc.gov.uk
Knit and Natter
Every third Wednesday of the month from 10am until 12 noon.
Come and join a friendly group of ladies knitting and chatting in the library. Just drop in!
Family History research
Every fourth Tuesday of the month from 10am until 12 noon.
Come and access Ancestry for free on the computers at the library. An experienced volunteer will be on hand to provide assistance if needed.
Digital Buddy
Every Tuesday from 10am to 12 noon. No booking required.
