Special events

Pompom making craft

Tuesday 15 April drop in from 10am to 4pm.

Looking for a fun and creative activity this Easter break? Drop into the library and make your own colourful pompoms!

Cost: £2 per child

Kids will learn different ways to make pompoms and discover fun ways to use them, turn them into fluffy chicks, create pompom garlands, or even make egg-shaped ones for an Easter egg hunt!

LEGO club

Drop in from 10am to 4pm on the following dates: Wednesday 16 April.

We are extending LEGO Club for the Easter Holidays!

Cost: £1 per child.

No need to book, just drop in!)

For children aged 5+ (Duplo is available for younger siblings).

A note to parents/guardians: While your child creates in the LEGO room, you must stay on the library premises.

Bunny portrait craft

Drop in from 10am to 4pm on the following dates: Thursday 17 April

Hop over to Haslemere Library over the Easter break for a fun and festive craft event!

Make an adorable bunny portrait to take home!

No booking needed, just pop in and get crafting!

An Afternoon with author Judith Heneghan

Friday 16 May, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.

Join Judith Heneghan at Haslemere Library when she talks about her latest book "Birdeye".

Event suitable for adults.

Tickets cost £4 per person. Please book online or in Haslemere Library if if unable to book online.

Pebble rhymetime and storytime

Pebble rhymetime

  • Every Wednesday from 10am until 10.30am
  • Every Thursday from 10am until 10.30am.

These are ticketed events and are based on a first come first serve basis with limited places available.

Reading groups

Chatterbooks reading group

One Saturday a month from 11.10am until 11.50am. Please check with the branch for the next session date.

Do you like reading, making friends and taking part in fun activities then why not join Haslemere library Chatterbooks?

Suitable for children aged 7 years and over.

Group one

First Wednesday of the month from 2.30pm until 3.30pm.

Group two

First Thursday of the month from 2.30pm until 3.30pm.

Other events

LEGO club

Every Wednesday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

This is the perfect way to get creative and build amazing things.

All our LEGO has been kindly donated or rehomed, making this a fun and eco-friendly way to play and learn.

Stay and play baby and toddler group

Join us every Friday morning from 10am to 11am for a fun and relaxed baby and toddler group for ages 0 to 3.

What to Expect:

  • A welcoming space for little ones to play, explore, and socialize.
  • Free tea and coffee for parents and carers.
  • A chance to connect with other families in the community.

This is a free, drop-in group, no need to book, just come along and enjoy some quality time with your little one! We cannot wait to see you and your tiny tots.

Sketch club

Second Friday of every month, from 2pm to 3pm.

Come for a relaxing afternoon of doodling, sketching, and creativity. Bring your favourite drawing materials and let your imagination take the lead. Whether you're a seasoned artist or just enjoy a good doodle, Sketch Club is the perfect place to connect with fellow creatives and share your passion.

No need to book or pay, just drop in, draw, and enjoy! Free tea and coffee provided.

Coffee morning

First Saturday of each month from 10am to 11.30am.

Join us for a relaxed and friendly coffee morning. Come along for a chat, a cuppa, and some good company. Free tea, coffee, and banter are guaranteed (there might even be biscuits!).

No need to book, just drop in and enjoy the morning with us!

Meet and Make

Last Saturday of every month from 10am to 12 noon.

Looking for a fun, creative space to get crafty? Meet and Make is the perfect place to spark your imagination, meet friendly faces, and try something new, no experience required!

Whether you're an experienced crafter or brand-new to making, Meet and Make is for everyone! Bring along a project you're working on: knitting, crochet, embroidery, darning, or anything else, and enjoy some relaxed conversation while you create.

No project? No problem! We have tools and materials ready for you to explore, including embroidery hoops, knitting needles, crochet hooks, and more. It's the perfect opportunity to try out a new craft or learn a skill in a fun and supportive environment.

Our group is all about sharing ideas, inspiring each other, and making creativity accessible to all. Beginners are especially welcome, our friendly members love helping others get started.

Drop in, get creative, and make something wonderful with us. Free tea, coffee and banter provided!

Digital Support Volunteer

Every Tuesday, from 10am until 12 noon.

Do you want help using a computer, the internet, IT related problems or your iPad, tablet or iPhone? Book an appointment to see our Digital support volunteer.
