Creating Sounds

Wednesday 19 February, 10am and 11am.

Ever wondered if your child would enjoy learning a musical instrument? Creating Sounds is a 40 minute session led by Surrey Arts, which will give children in school years 2 to 6 a chance to try the Clarinet and Saxophone at the library.

Suggested donation £3. Tickets can be booked online:

Warm welcome afternoon tea

Every Thursday afternoon from 2.30pm to 4pm. Will include table games.

Some sessions may have a speaker and we are creating a programme of speakers.

Guest Speakers: Thursday 27 February, afternoon tea with Cunningham Eves Solicitors advising on wills and inheritance tax planning, just drop in from 2pm.

Stories for grown-ups

Next session: to be confirmed.

Enjoy Stories, poems and anecdotes. There is no charge for this event but donations are welcome.

Pebble rhymetime and storytime

Pebble rhymetime

  • Every Thursday, two sessions:
    • 10am to 10.30am
    • 11am to 11.30am
  • Every Saturday at 11am to 11.30am.

Rhymetime events will be ticketed, available at the counter before each session, on a first come, first served basis.

Storytime

Every Tuesday at 10.30am. School term time only.

The library will also hold special Storytime sessions with craft on occasion. Look out for these under Special events above.

Reading groups

Leatherhead library reading group

The last Wednesday of the month at 2pm.

The Mansion reading group

Every third Thursday of the month from 2pm until 3.30pm.

If anyone is interested in joining either group, please email leatherhead.library@surreycc.gov.uk and we will see if there are any spaces.

Other events

Literacy buddy

Leatherhead library now have a literacy buddy who will help with form filling, reading letters and other literacy needs.

Please speak to the Leatherhead staff who will arrange an appointment.

Knit and Natter group

Every Tuesday from 2.30pm until 4pm.

Refreshments are available. Everyone is welcome regardless of their ability.

Sewing group

Fourth Wednesday of the month from 3pm until 4pm.

Refreshments are available.

Pokémon club

Every other Saturday, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Upcoming dates: 1 March.

No need to book. Just turn up.

Digital Support Volunteer

Tuesdays from 3.15pm to 5pm.

Do you want help using a computer, the internet, your iPad, tablet or iPhone, or other IT related problems?

Make an appointment to see our Digital Support Volunteer.

Please book in person at Leatherhead Library, by emailing leatherhead.library@surreycc.gov.uk or telephone 03456 009 009 and press option 6 and ask to be put through to Leatherhead library. Our lines are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.
