Opening times and accessibility

Day Opening times
Monday Closed
Tuesday 10am until 1pm and 2pm until 5pm
Wednesday 10am until 1pm and 2pm to 5pm (Community Day, run by volunteers)
Thursday Closed
Friday 10am until 1pm and 2pm until 5pm
Saturday 10am until 1pm
Sunday Closed

All of our libraries are closed on bank holidays. Check libraries affected by bad weather.

The library is accessible by wheelchair and there is also a disabled toilet. A hearing loop is installed. Please see: Library services for people with disabilities, for more information.

Community day

Lightwater Library is open 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm every Wednesday for a Community Day. Opened and run by volunteers, borrowers can visit the library to borrow and return books, use the Public Computers and the self-service kiosks, and find many of the usual library services.

The library is situated just off the Guildford Road, behind the parade of shops where the jeweller and the Fish and Chips shop are.

Printing and photocopying on our Community Day (Wednesdays)

Please note: Printing is also available from Lightwater Library on our Community Day (Wednesdays), however, photocopying is currently unavailable on Wednesdays.

Our public computers close down 15 minutes before the library closes, however you are still able to send prints from your own device to your library account and you are able to collect them from the library using your library card via the self service kiosks up until closing time.

Please use the 'Book a Computer' link below to be able to send prints to your library account to collect from any Surrey Library (you will need your library card and pin number).

Volunteering

There are various volunteering roles available in Surrey Libraries for people of all ages and with varying skills. These include events and activities, (for example Story Time), Rhymetime, digital support, stock support and volunteers for our Library Direct Home Service.
