Create a comic craft

Saturday 1 February, from 2pm to 3pm;

Celebrate National Storytelling Week and create your own story in comic format.

Suitable for ages 4+.

Cost: £1 per child.

Crochet a worry worm craft

Saturday 8 February, from 2pm to 3pm.

To mark Children's Mental Health Week, learn how to crochet your own worry worm.

Suitable for ages 6+.

Cost: £1 per child

Heads and Tails: interactive storytelling performance

Saturday 8 February at 10am.

Heads and Tails explores folklore and fables of Southern African cultures, promising fun, laughter, and unforgettable tales. Be ready to roar like a lion or stretch as tall as a giraffe!

Due to the success of the tour in November and in celebration of National Storytelling Week, professional storytellers Andy Copps and John Kirk are returning to Surrey Libraries in February 2025. They will be performing African animal stories with audience participation and interaction throughout. Come join us at one of the libraries below for a magical storytelling adventure that is not to be missed.

Celebrate Valentines Day and all the people you love and make them a unique card.

Suitable for ages 4+.

Celebrate International Mother Language Day and create a flag.

Suitable for ages 4+.

Create a spy decoder wheel craft

Saturday 1 March, from 2pm to 3pm.

Celebrate Women's History Month and create your own spy decoder wheel.

Suitable for ages 5+.

Cost: £1 per child.

Create a weather chart craft

Saturday 8 March, from 2pm to 3pm.

Celebrate British Science Week and create your own weather chart using a paper plate.

Suitable for ages 4+.

Pebble rhymetime and storytime

Reading groups

Junior book club

Free monthly event, Saturdays from 11am to 12 noon. Upcoming dates: 25 January.

Let's read for fun! Share different authors and genres. Take part in fun book games and crafts.

Merstham library reading group

Last Tuesday of every month from 4pm until 5pm in Merstham library

This group is currently at capacity.
We are looking at starting a second group, if you are interested in running or attending another group please get in touch by emailing merstham.library@surreycc.gov.uk.

Board games afternoon

Every Saturday from 1.30pm to 3.00pm.

£1 per family, All ages welcome.

Let's play board games! Fun for all the family.

Fun with family and friends playing board games,

Suitable for ages 5+.

£1 per family donation suggested.

Lego Club

Saturdays from 10.30am to 12 noon.

For ages 5 to 11 years. £1 per child. No booking required.

Redhill Centre for Local and Family History research

First and third Saturdays of the month from 2pm until 4pm.

While Redhill library is at its temporary location, our volunteers are available at Merstham library to help you use the resources and equipment.

Toy library

Every Tuesday from 10am to 11am and every Friday from 11am to 12 noon.

Test out toys to see what engages your child! We have a range of toys for you to borrow before making an investment.

Charge for this service: £1 per toy for a 3 week loan. You must be a library member to borrow items.

Hublets Stay and Play

Every Tuesday from 10am until 11.45am.

Meet other families and enjoy a fun time with your under 5s playing with our toys.

This is a free event and all are welcome.

Digital Buddy

Every Wednesday, from 10am to 12 noon.

Do you want help using a computer, the internet, your iPad, tablet or iPhone, or other IT related problems?
