Heads and Tails: interactive storytelling performance

Saturday 16 November.

We are very excited to offer you the opportunity to see 'Heads and Tails' at Surrey Libraries this November, exploring folklore and fables of African animals!

Get ready for a magical storytelling adventure with talented Storytellers Andy Copps and John Kirk! These sessions are perfect for children aged 3 and up, promising fun, laughter, and unforgettable tales.

Thursday 21 November, from 2.15pm to 2.45pm.

Whisper, Shout, Let It Out! This joyous book by Madhvi Ramanito is the perfect book for shy, anxious or quiet children, to help with building confidence and a positive mindset.

Event free of charge.

Suitable for under fives.

No need to book.

Christmas crafternooon

Saturday 23 November, from 2.30pm to 4pm.

Make an Elf on the Shelf ready for advent!

Suitable for ages 5+.

Cost: £1 per child.

No need to book just drop in

An evening with Ben Aaronovitch and Mark Stay

Tuesday 26 November from 6.30pm until 8.00pm.

Ben Aaronovitch will be discussing his latest Rivers of London book with author Mark Stay.

Booking necessary. Tickets cost £7 each and can be booked online. If you unable to book online, please book at help desk.

Free parking available in Tandridge District Council Offices car park next to the library and Oxted Health Centre

Refreshments will be available and books on sale courtesy of The Bookshop, East Grinstead.

Other events

Meet up and catch up - Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey

Join Sight for Surrey with our new informal meet ups. Supporting people who are blind, vision impaired, deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing.

Session will be held monthly on Wednesdays between 10am to 12 noon. Upcoming dates: 11 December

Adult board games club

Every Wednesday starting on 9 October, from 2pm to 3.30pm.

Drop in and play a board game, bring your own or play one of ours.

Free of charge.

Lego club

Every Wednesday from 3.45pm until 4.30pm during term time.

Lego Club will continue after half term on Wednesday 6 November to Wednesday 11 December.

Suitable for ages Age 4+.

Cost: £1 per per child, per session.

Build a story

Build a story will start back on Thursday 19 September.

Every Thursday during term time, from 2.15pm to 2.45pm.

Stories, songs and DUPLO play.

Suitable for children aged under 5. No booking necessary. Sessions free.

Knit and natter

Last Wednesday of the month from 10.30am to 12 noon.

December's Knit & Natter will be held on Wednesday 18 December.

Free of charge. Bring your own project to work on or just come for a chat!

Digital Buddy (Digital Support Volunteer)

Every Thursday from 10am and 1pm.

Do you want help using a computer, the internet, your iPad, tablet or iPhone, or other IT related problems?

Our Digital Support Volunteer is available to help you on, please book your appointment in the library or by emailing oxted.library@surreycc.gov.uk.
