Due to essential maintenance works, the Hospital Service Road will be closed from 0700 on Saturday 11th January until 2200 on Sunday 12th January.

Both bus stops on the hospital grounds will be suspended and passengers are advised to use bus stops on Egerton Rd towards Park Barn and Tesco bus stop towards Guildford.

High Street, Kingston-upon-Thames

Due to works by Thames Water on High Street, Kingston-upon-Thames (south of the junction with East Lane) the Falcon 715 and White Bus 458 services will be on diversion for one night only on Wednesday 15 January (between 20:00 - 06:00). As a result the following bus stops on the A307 Portsmouth Road will not be served: Saint Leonard's Road, Uxbridge Road, Saint Raphael's Church, Woodbines Avenue and East Lane. Buses will instead divert between Seething Wells and Kingston-upon-Thames via Surbiton (Brighton Road, Maple Road, Surbiton Road, Penrhyn Road) in both directions.

Park Barn Drive, Guildford

We've been advised that Park Barn Drive, Guildford has been closed by Affinity Water due to emergency repair works on a water main.

The works commenced on 8 January and will be in place for approximately 3 days.

Brighton Road, Lower Kingswood

From Monday 6 January between the hours of 20:00 to 06:00 (not weekends) there is a southbound closure of the Brighton Road in Lower Kingswood due to carriageway works. The works are expected to last three weeks.

New Road, Chilworth

Due to electrical works at the level crossing by Network Rail and UK Power Networks, New Road, Chilworth will be closed from 7pm on Friday 3 January until 5am on Monday 6 January, and again from 7pm on Friday 10 January until 5am on Monday 13 January. As a result the Compass/Metrobus 32 service will be on diversion on both Saturday 4 and 11, and Sunday 5 and 12 January.

Services will be on diversion between Shere and Guildford via Newlands Corner and Merrow in both directions, and the villages of Albury, Chilworth and Shalford will not be served on those weekends. Monday to Friday services will continue to operate as normal.

Burrows Lane, Gomshall

Due to electrical works at the level crossing by Network Rail and UK Power Networks, Burrows Lane, Gomshall will be closed from Monday 6 January for approximately 2 weeks. As a result the Compass 25 service will be on diversion until the road is re-opened, operating between Newlands Corner and Burrows Cross via Little London, and missing out all stops in Shere and Gomshall.

Schooltime journeys only will still serve stops in Shere and on the A25 Station Road, Gomshall as normal (not those on Goose Green, High View or Burrows Lane) but will be delayed due to the additional time required for the diversion.

Long Lane, Stanwell

From Saturday 25 January, Long Lane in Stanwell will be closed for up to 4 days for utility works.

Carlone service 442 will be diverted via Clare Road for the duration of the works.

Portsmouth Road, Burntcommon

From Saturday 5 October contractors will be carrying out roadway improvements, including the installation of a new roundabout on Portsmouth Road. These works are expected to last until mid-February.

The bus stops on Portsmouth Road, known as "Burnt Common Lane" will be suspended for the duration of the works. There is no safe location for a temporary stop.

National Highways works on A3 near RHS Gardens Wisley (Bus services 462/463 and 715)

Due to the demolition of Wisley and Cockcrow footbridges which cross the A3, the bus stops on the A3 at Wisley will be permanently closed and the bus stop on the Portsmouth Road at Ockham Roundabout will be temporarily closed from the last bus on Friday 23 February 2024.

Until the new Wisley bridge is in place there will be no safe walking route to RHS Wisley or across the A3 from the A3 or Portsmouth Road bus stops.

To facilitate transport to RHS Gardens Wisley visitors can use the Wisley Gardens shuttle bus, operated by Stagecoach and Woking Bustler which can be picked up from Ripley Post Office, where you can connect with local bus services 462/463 and 715.

A3 Portsmouth road closures

National Highways are carrying out major safety improvement works to the A3 Wisley Interchange (M25 Junction 10). As a result there will be a series of weekend road closures at this location.

This page will be updated as and when new closures are announced.

When closures are in place, the Falcon 715 service will only operate between Kingston and Cobham. The White Bus 462/463 service will not operate between Send Marsh Road and Ockham Roundabout, so bus stops in Ripley will not be served.

We would advise passengers wishing to travel on these services to also check the Falcon and White Bus websites for further updates.

More information about these works, including diversion maps, can be found on the National Highways webpage.

Ash Railway Station

Due to local development works the southbound bus stop at Ash Railway Station is closed until further notice. The nearest alternative bus stops are those named "Chester Road" and "St. Peter's Church", located approximately 200m along the road in either direction from the suspended bus stop. The works are anticipated to finish in January 2025.

Metrobus service 430 and 435

From 29 October 2022, Metrobus services 430 and 435 will not serve Royal Earlswood Park, Prince's Road and Earlsbrook Road due to operational issues until further notice. Bus stops along Woodlands Road will still be served as normal.
