High Street, Godstone

Due to a major sinkhole appearing in the carriageway, High Street, Godstone (between the junctions with A25 Oxted Road and Salisbury Road) has been closed from 18 February until further notice. As more information becomes available this entry will be updated, but initial reports indicate the road will most likely remain closed for sometime.

As a result of this closure the Metrobus 400, 409 and 410 services are on diversion and cannot use Godstone High Street. Passengers are advised to catch their bus from the "Godstone Green" bus stop (near the Needle's Bank public toilets) instead. In addition the 410 service will also be unable to serve the "Crowhurst Mead" or "Church Lane" bus stops on the A25 Oxted Road.

With regards to school services, the Metrobus 612 service for Oxted School will also be on diversion, and will be unable to serve the "Crowhurst Mead" or "Church Lane" bus stops on A25 Oxted Road. Passengers for this service should either catch the bus from the "Godstone Green" bus stop (near the Needle's Bank public toilets) or can alternatively catch the Metrobus 611 service to Oxted School from the "Crowhurst Mead" and "Church Lane" bus stops on A25 Oxted Road. Passengers should bear in mind that this service operates slightly earlier than the Metrobus 612 service, arriving at the "Crowhurst Mead" bus stop at 07:59, to arrive at Oxted School for 08:14.

Ash Church Road, Ash

There have been significant development works around Ash Railway Station and a new bridge has been built over the railway line which will help any traffic delays caused by the level crossing.

From Saturday 8th February, the new bridge that leads from Stonehill Road over the railway line will be opened and the Stagecoach service 20 will divert permanently down Stonehill Road and over the bridge to Foreman Road. The bus stops at Chester Road will no longer be served from this date.

There are further works taking place on the junction of Ash Church Road and Foreman Road from 8th February and while the works are in progress the Stagecoach 20 will divert via Foreman Road and Grange Road. Bus stops at Ash Railway Station and St Peters Church will not be served. The works are expected to last 8 weeks.

Victoria Way, Woking

From Sunday 26 January, due to an unsafe building affected by the high winds, Victoria Way in Woking is closed until further notice. Buses will divert via Goldsworth Road, Church Street West and Forge End. All stops will be served but there may be some delays because of the increased traffic in the area.

Portsmouth Road, Burntcommon

From Saturday 5 October contractors will be carrying out roadway improvements, including the installation of a new roundabout on Portsmouth Road. These works are expected to last until mid-April 2025.

The bus stops on Portsmouth Road, known as "Burnt Common Lane" will be suspended for the duration of the works. There is no safe location for a temporary stop.

National Highways works on A3 near RHS Gardens Wisley (Bus services 462/463 and 715)

Due to the demolition of Wisley and Cockcrow footbridges which cross the A3, the bus stops on the A3 at Wisley will be permanently closed and the bus stop on the Portsmouth Road at Ockham Roundabout will be temporarily closed from the last bus on Friday 23 February 2024.

Until the new Wisley bridge is in place there will be no safe walking route to RHS Wisley or across the A3 from the A3 or Portsmouth Road bus stops.

To facilitate transport to RHS Gardens Wisley visitors can use the Wisley Gardens shuttle bus, operated by Stagecoach and Woking Bustler which can be picked up from Ripley Post Office, where you can connect with local bus services 462/463 and 715.

A3 Portsmouth road closures

National Highways are carrying out major safety improvement works to the A3 Wisley Interchange (M25 Junction 10). As a result there will be a series of weekend road closures at this location.

This page will be updated as and when new closures are announced.

When closures are in place, the Falcon 715 service will only operate between Kingston and Cobham. The White Bus 462/463 service will not operate between Send Marsh Road and Ockham Roundabout, so bus stops in Ripley will not be served.

We would advise passengers wishing to travel on these services to also check the Falcon and White Bus websites for further updates.

More information about these works, including diversion maps, can be found on the National Highways webpage.

From 29 October 2022, Metrobus services 430 and 435 will not serve Royal Earlswood Park, Prince's Road and Earlsbrook Road due to operational issues until further notice. Bus stops along Woodlands Road will still be served as normal.
