Introduction

The 2022 parking review took place over January 2022 and was presented to Spelthorne Joint Committee in March 2022. Over 120 requests for new or amended parking restrictions in the borough were assessed as part of the review.

Committee authorisation

The 2022 review was presented to Spelthorne Joint Committee on 21 March 2022 and agreed with no changes.

These parking proposals were advertised from 14 October to 11 November 2022. This included the publishing of a formal notice in a local newspaper; street notices being erected on site at each location; plus drawings and a statement of reasons available to view at the bottom of this page. Those properties immediately fronting locations where changes are proposed were notified individually by letter.

Approval

All feedback received has been considered by county councillors and the Parking and Traffic Enforcement Team manager, and a final decision has been made on how to proceed at each location. All objections, support and comment responses are summarised in the 'Decision report', which includes the decision for each location. This report is available to download and view at the bottom of this page. Those who responded to the advertisement will be notified of the decisions by email or by letter.

Implementation

All agreed restrictions will be installed on the ground in Spring 2024. We apologise for the delay in getting these restrictions installed.
