Anyards Road (D6884) and Copse Road (D6883) Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 29 May 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(a) Anyards Road (D6884) Cobham as extends from its junction with (D6883) Copse Road and (X16029) Oakfield Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.111 and No.113 Anyards Road, and

(b) the entire length of the westbound lane of Copse Road (D6883) Cobham.

Alternative Route: (1a) Left turn onto (D6883) Copse Road, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A245) Between Streets, and (D6884) Oakdene Road; and

(1b) (D6884) Oakdene Road, Between Streets, and (A307) Portsmouth Road; and

(2a) The eastbound lane of (D6883) Copse Road, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A245) Between Streets, and Oakdene Road; and

(2b) (D6884) Oakdene Road, Between Streets, and (A307) Portsmouth Road.

This Order is required to facilitate mains water replacement works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 June 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
