Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Brook Hill (D194) Albury.

Alternative Route: (1) Brook Hill, Brook Lane, Little London, Shere Heath Road, Hound House Road, Windmill Plain, Winterfold Heath Road, Row Lane, and Shophouse Lane, or this route in reverse;

(2) August Lane, Farley Heath Road, Woodhill Lane, (B2128) The Green, (B2128) Guildford Road, (B2128) Cranleigh Road, (B2128) The Street, (B2128) Wonersh Common, (B2128) Wonersh Common Road, A248) New Road, (A248) Dorking Road, (A248) Chilworth Road, (A248) The Street, and New Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate overhead/ underground structural works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, on 9 April 2024, and between the hours of 10.30am and 4.30pm on 29 April 2024 during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
