Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 10 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that entire length of Copley Close (D1255) Redhill.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

This Order is required to carry out new water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between 8am and 4pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for vehicular traffic including residents and emergency services will be restricted within the working hours, however, road plates will be added out of hours. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
