Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Critten Lane (C43) Effingham as extends from its junction with (C44) Ranmore Common Road to its junction with (X7283) Summerdown Lane.

Alternative Route: (C43) Beech Avenue, (A246) Guildford Road, (A246) Leatherhead Road, (A246) Young Street, (A24) Dorking Road, (A24) London Road, (A24) Mickleham By-pass, (A24) London Road, (A2003) Ashcombe Road, (C44) Ashcombe Road, (C44) Ranmore Road, and (C44) Ranmore Common Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate tree felling works for, or on behalf of Gristwood and Toms Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 days between the hours of 8.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
