Extension to the Surrey County Council Crossoak Lane (D356) Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
"The Surrey County Council Crossoak Lane (D356) Salfords Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023", which was made under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(B) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the grounds that works were being or proposed to be executed on, or near, the above-mentioned road and came into operation on 29 May 2023 was due to expire on 28 May 2024 and which prohibited vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Crossoak Lane (D356) Salfords from its junction with (A23) Bonehurst Road to its junction with (D1311) Orchard Drive has been extended by Surrey County Council until 28 November 2024.
This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow highway improvement and/or maintenance works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the additional 6-month period operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commenced on 28 May 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted, when this is the case such restriction of access will apply for no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period.
Alternative Route: a) Crossoak Lane (NB Height restriction of 13'9"), Picketts Lane, Honey Crock Lane, and Brighton Road, or this route in reverse; and b) Bonehurst Road, Ladbroke Road, Langshott (NB Height restriction of 11'6"), and Orchard Drive, or this route in reverse.
