Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 24 April 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hollow Lane (C91) Dormansland as extends from its junction with (C90) High Street to its junction with (D412) Mutton Hill.

Alternative Route: (1) High Street and New Farthingdale, or this route in reverse;

(2) Mutton Hill, High Street, and New Farthingdale, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works will be carried out in 2 phases, and it is anticipated the works will be carried out over 4 months between the hours of 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, Saturdays between the hours of 8am and 4pm, and Sundays if required, within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for resident, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if necessary. All other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the diversion routes.
