Horsham Road (B2126) Abinger Hammer
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Horsham Road (B2126) Abinger Hammer as extends from its junction with (D274) Raikes Lane to a point in line with the north western boundary line with the property known as "The Old Forge".
Alternative Route: (B2126) Horsham Road, (B2126) Felday Road, (A25) Guildford Road, (A25) Dorking Road, (A25) Station Road, (A25) Shere Road, (A248) Sherbourne, (D194) New Road, (D222) Brook Lane, (D222) Little London, (D222) Shere Heath Road, (C46) Sandy Lane, (C46) Hound House Road, (C46) Pitch Hill, (C46) Shere Road, (B2127) Ockley Road, (D276) Holmbury Road, (D280) Holmbury Hill Road, and (B2126) Horsham Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate valve and chamber reinforcement works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
