Kingston Road (Service Road No.431 to No.545) (D2358) Epsom
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;
(a) Kingston Road (Service Road No.431 to No.545) (D2358) Epsom as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.431 and No.433 Kingston (Service Road) to its junction with (D2410) Tealing Drive;
(b) Suspend any One-Way Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of road described in (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: (A240) Kingston Road, (B284) Worcester Park Road, (A240) Kingston Road, (B284) Ruxley Lane, Riverview Road, and Tealing Drive.
This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for, or on behalf of Morrison Water Services. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 nights between the hours of 8pm and 5am within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 April 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via road plates if necessary. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
