Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 20 March 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of;

(a) Mill Lane (D5421) Godalming as extends from its junction with (D5421) Station Road to its junction with (D5421) The Mint; and,

(b) in order to facilitate resident access the one-way system imposed by "The Surrey County Council Mill Lane and Station Approach (D5421) Godalming (One- Way Traffic) Order 2023" shall be suspended in its entirety.

Alternative Route: Station Road and Mill Lane.

This Order is required to carry out utility works for, or on behalf of SSEN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days between 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 02 April 2024.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
